We have some fancy new whiteboards in Piako Rua. They are plain white on one side and have lines on the other side.
We have been using them every day to practise our handwriting on.
We are turning into competent handwriters.

WELCOME TO RIVERDALE SCHOOL
We have 4 new friends in Piako Rua. Welcome to Riverdale School Ruby, Samantha, Layla and Taha.
FRIDAY COOKING
Some of the children helped Mrs Kenyon make chocolate cake today. We had to use the electric beater.
The we cooked the mixture for 35 minutes.
After lunch we got to sit outside and taste test it. It was very yummy. We are great cooks.
And some children did the washing up! (really!!!)
GENIUS HOUR
Today we held our first ever Genius Hour. This was an opportunity for us to show our teachers what we are good at. There were so many different areas of expertise that we all have. Some kids made pieces of art, some built amazing creations with Lego and blocks. Some of us wrote stories and other put on putter shows.
Our teachers were very impressed with how creative and competent we were!
We enjoyed sharing our talent with our friends.
