MARKET DAY
Today Piako Rua held their Market Day to raise money for the SPCA.
Braxton's Auntie Katie is the manager of the Palmerston North SPCA. She came to our Market Day and brought her dog Indi. Indi was a HUGE hit!

FUN TIMES IN PIAKO RUA
There were a few cool things happening in Piako Rua today.
The girls started the day off playing with the Brain Box. This is a set of electrical components that when put together correctly, a light will turn on. There was lots of problem solving happening this morning before school had even started!
Then Mrs Ruawai, Mrs Lunn and 2 big girls, Chloe and Mila helped a group of us to make slime. Well they TRIED to help us make slime! It was an epic fail! What we learnt was that the school PVA does not make good slime! So we had a bit of problem solving to do. We tried adding more borax, more glue, more water... nothing worked! So in the end, we decided to call it quits and make something else!
So we made salt dough decorations to sell at Market Day instead!
For PE we had some special helpers. Some of the Pae Ake kids planned and taught us new games. We had a blast. Our teachers were very impressed with the Pae Ake kids. So much so that they were able to relax and enjoy watching the games!

MARKET DAY
Market Day preparations are underway. Thank you to parents who have had time to come in and help us so far. Our products are looking amazing!
